The Atlex series excimer lasers launched by Photon Machines are based on a patented preionization technique that produces short pulse widths, high peak power densities and flat beams. The all-metal ceramic tube construction with automatic gas filling and user-replaceable optics results in long lifetimes. The lasers are air-cooled and provide continuous operation at rates of up to 500 pulses per second. A built-in energy detector enables closed-loop stabilization that maintains the energy output entered by the operator at a constant level. Standard features include a handheld controller and a computer interface. Available wavelengths are 157, 193, 248, 308 and 351 nm.
