It changes shape automatically without mechanical aid, using electricity to change focus by altering the border between two drops of liquid. Based on proprietary electrowetting technology, the lens has been enhanced to include an increased storage temperature range of –40 to 85 °C and an operating range from –20 to 60 °C.
