Very-Low Vpi and Very-High Extinction Ratio Modulators

Eospace has introduced new low-loss wideband lithium niobate modulators, high-speed fiber optic switches and polarization controllers for operation from <700 nm through >2 micron wavelengths. New improvements in modulator technology allow higher efficiency (lower drive voltatge, or Vpi) operation for all types of 40-G modulators. Eospacd currently offers a broad selection of 40-G modulators, including phase, intensity, prechirp and chirp-free, for the elecommunications and aerospace markets. The new very-low Vpi modulator lines include a 40- Gb/s phase modulator with <3V@1GHz Vpi and >25-30GHz bandwidth, and a40-Gb/s intensity modulator with <3.5V@1GHz Vpi and >30-40GHz bandwidth. Eospace also offers new high-extinction-ratio (>30-40dB) modulators for 1550, 1300 and 1060 nm wavelengths for aerospace applications.
