Precision-Optical Engineering has announced two additions to its line of infrared interferometers. The Interfire II 1.55 is targeted for testing optical systems at the 1.55-µm wavelength, where the radiation is partially eye-safe. It comprises an optimized fringe detection system incorporating a CCD camera with near-IR conversion optics and glass lenses and mirrors. The Interfire II 850 nm is particularly suited for NIR testing of optics such as those in the upper-wavelength range of silicon-based CCTV systems; e.g., scene illumination systems for surveillance, surveillance optics for CCD cameras and NIR tracking systems.
