Bristol-Instruments.jpgThe LC series fiber optic laser couplers from Bristol Instruments Inc. enable users to launch a free-space beam into a fiber or to return it to a collimated free-space beam. The LC-1 input coupler includes built-in alignment optics that provide two slightly off-axis backreflections to facilitate alignment, whereas the LC-2 output coupler has no alignment optics. The couplers are composed of a 1-in.-diameter mounting disk and 3 m of fiber with a 9-µm core diameter that terminates at an FC/PC connector, and they are available for use with wavelengths from 350 to 1100 nm or 500 to 1700 nm.
