ILX Lightwave Corp. has introduced the next generation of its LRS-9424 laser reliability and burn-in test system. The LRS-9424B reduces the expense of testing TO-can and subassembly packaged laser diodes and LEDs, and it improves stability for testing up to 1024 devices in 32 independent tests. Individual fixture heaters and temperature controls support multiple independent test temperatures up to 150 °C with ±1 °C accuracy and typical stability of better than ±0.1 °C. Modular electronics with standard drive current ranges of up to 400 mA are available. Measurement stability is ±0.1% over 1000 h. The system is supplied with ReliaTest version 2.0 software.
