Kappa-opto-electronics.jpgKappa opto-electronics GmbH has launched the DX 4/40 12-bit progressive-scan digital cameras, which offer a choice of Sony or Kodak CCD sensors and of a Camera Link or a FireWire interface. Features include external trigger, binning, partial scan/area of interest, image memory and reset/restart. They operate at up to 109 fps at a maximum of 63 dB. The color versions offer integrated field-programmable-gate-array-based real-time color processing that is independent of specific signal processors. The cameras measure 60 × 60 × 47 mm and are supplied with the company’s ImageBase software. A software development kit is available.
