GeneralPhot_SLD.jpgThe SLD-101S line of benchtop superluminescent LEDs designed for optical coherence tomography, for fiber sensors and gyros, and for test and measurement applications has been announced by General Photonics Corp. Temperature-stabilized to 0.05 °C, the light sources can operate in constant current, constant power and modulated power modes with stability of ±0.005 dB. Modulation can be either external or internal, with sine or square waveforms and with speeds of up to 100 kHz. Wavelengths from 750 to 1600 nm can be selected, with bandwidths and power levels of up to 80 nm and 25 mW, respectively. The sources come with USB, RS-232, Ethernet and GPIB interfaces. Users can select low or high degree of polarization options for specific applications.
