Flexible-Optical-BV_fig.jpgFlexible Optical BV has added an alignment mode to its FrontSurfer Hartmann-Shack wavefront sensor system, which now displays real-time polar graphs corresponding to beam position, tip, tilt, astigmatism and coma. Low-order Zernike aberrations up to Z [4,0] can be displayed in real time in a bar-graph format. The modified system now performs alignment of optical systems, with tip and tilt precision of a fraction of 1 arc sec and collimation precision of better than 0.001 diopter. Included are FrontSurfer software, a 1/2-in. FireWire CMOS camera and a hexagonal array of 127 microlenses. Custom configurations are available upon request.
