nLight_CMount_HHL.jpgSuitable for medical and industrial applications, nLight Corp.’s near-IR diode laser provides high power and brightness. Using the company’s proprietary BrightLife semiconductor technology, the device produces 7 W of continuous-wave power at 808 nm from a single 200-μm broad-area emitter. The easy-to-integrate system has an operating current of 6.5 A, a compliance voltage of 1.9 V and a beam divergence value of <36° × <10° FWHM, and it is available in either a C-mount or a high-heat-load package. The laser also can collimate the fast-axis to <1° FWHM and has a mean time to failure rating of >80,000 h.
