The Laser Diode Inc. unit of Tyco Electronics has announced its SCW series optical time-domain reflectometer lasers for optical test equipment applications. The instruments accommodate 1310-, 1550- and 1625-nm wavelengths and include a thermoelectric cooler and a temperature-sensing thermistor for good wavelength stability over a wide operating temperature range. They are supplied in a hermetic 14-pin DIP or in a 14-pin butterfly package, with custom packaging and/or screening options available.
