SIOS_SP-S.jpgSios Messtechnik GmbH has introduced the laser interferometeric vibrometer SP-S series for noncontact measurement of vibrations on surfaces with arbitrary roughness over frequencies from 0 to 500 kHz. Based on the company’s SP series miniature plane-mirror interferometers, the systems comprise a HeNe laser, a compact fiber optic-coupled sensor head and a variety of interfaces. A PC and included software control the instrument and display measurement results. Applications include determination of vibrational spectra, and of vibrational modes and resonant frequencies of macro and micro objects. Length resolution is 0.3 nm, and measurement range is ≤±20 mm.
