Semrock_MaxDiode.jpgMaxDiode cleanup filters have been announced by Semrock Inc. for use with laser diodes. They clean up the laser output by stripping it of undesired noise, leaving only the desired laser line. They achieve 90% transmission over a defined range of each diode’s possible wavelength and offer a nearly square passband. Their steep edges transition to high blocking to eliminate out-of-spectral-band noise. The filters are made with ion-beam-sputtering technology, and proprietary “no burn out” hard coating increases reliability. Available filters are tailored to 635-, 440- and 405-nm diode lasers, with other wavelengths planned.
