LeCroy has added the 9384AL to its family of 1-GHz bandwidth digital storage oscilloscopes. Each of the four input channels on the new model samples at 1 gigasample per second into 2 Mb of acquisition memory. The device can capture, view and measure complex signals with a high accuracy rate and can be fitted with up to 64 MB of processing RAM. A removable hard-disk option that processes up to 170 MB is also available. Peak-detected and normally sampled waveforms are given with each signal, maintaining the time precision often lost with other systems. Other features include an intelligent probe interface, pass/fail testing, waveform processing and several interfacing options.
