Lambda Research Corp. has unveiled version 6.4 of its Oslo lens design software for Windows and Linux platforms. Along with other additions and improvements, the software can place multiple interferogram files on an optical model surface that can represent a different source and type of error, such as free-form wavefront or surface deviations. This enables the software to perform tolerance modeling to predict the performance of optical systems. Implementation of the separate files allows users to adjust the size and shape of individual errors more efficiently.
