The 821 wavelength meter for operation with pulsed lasers and optical parametric oscillators has been unveiled by Bristol Instruments Inc. The device uses optical interferometry to measure wavelength for applications such as high-resolution laser spectroscopy, photochemistry and optical remote sensing. Offering continuous calibration with an integrated wavelength standard, it measures the absolute wavelength of pulsed and CW lasers to an accuracy of ±0.02 cm–1. The instrument operates from 350 to 1100 nm and features LabView and USB interfaces with a Windows-based display program, and a library of commands for custom programming.
