Trumpf Inc. has released its TruDisk 6002, a laser with 6 kW of power and a beam quality of 8 mm-mrad. Because the disk laser is not sensitive to backreflection, laser light cables longer than 100 m can be used, and even heavily reflecting materials such as copper can be processed. Nominal power consumption is 25 kW, and maximum cooling water consumption at 15 °C is 2.8 m3/h. Cooling water temperature ranges from 5 to 19 °C. The laser weighs 2100 kg and measures 2890 × 1620 × 1300 mm.
