The IK-TF9C from Toshiba Imaging Systems is the first megapixel high-speed camera using three-CCD color technology. Featuring 2048 x 1536-pixel output resolution with a frame rate of 20 f/s (full frame) and 40 f/s (partial scan), the camera is well-suited for inspecting larger surfaces with more precision and high color fidelity. It incorporates Toshiba's proprietary progressive scan technology, elminating image jitter, which makes it ideal for high-speed industrial machine-vision applications, Toshiba said.
The IK-TF9C was developed with Toshiba's miniature three-CCD prism technology and designed for easy integration into any machine-vision system that requires high resolution and precision color definition. The new camera is lightweight (165 g) and measures only 44 mm (W) x 44 mm (H) x 78.3 mm (D). Other features include a C-mount for lenses, an 8-bit RGB digital output and Camera Link compatibility for ease of operation.
The camera is based on the same technology used for the recently introduced IK-TF series, featuring a three-chip camera IT-CCD sensor and an RGB microprism system for accurate, computer-ready color images.
Applications include semiconductor inspection, food sorting and packaging, precision color web inspection, color printing and other high-speed, color imaging tasks, as well as scientific imaging, medical diagnostics and high-speed military imaging.
