Logical Solutions_CFL4_CA_BEA.jpgLogical Solutions/Thinklogical has released two models of its Camera Fiber-Link digital camera extender line. The CFL-3 high-speed base and the CFL-4 base, medium and full models operate at speeds from 20 to 85 MHz and include serial connectivity for camera-control signals, for pan/tilt/zoom, and for managing accessories such as lighting and sensors. The models permit placement of a digital camera up to 1000 m from the controlling computer, with transparent Camera Link operation. Each system comprises a pair of electronic units connected by two or three strands of fiber optic cable. The transmitter unit connects to the camera, and the receiver unit connects to the CPU, both via an MDR-26 male-to-male cable. The transmitter and receiver require an AC/DC power converter, and installation is plug-and-play.
