PI_M-404_TranslationStage_fam-1500s.jpgPI (Physik Instrumente) LP has introduced its M-403/M-414 series precision linear translation stages with integrated low-friction ball screws that combine high duty cycles and velocities with minimum incremental motion of 0.1 μm. They have linear guiding rails and recirculated ball bearings that are maintenance-free and immune to cage migration, and they carry up to 50 kg and push or pull up to 100 N. Both series achieve motor resolution to 0.012 μm and offer stand-alone and PC-plug-in servo controllers. Three motor options are available: DC-Gearhead, DC ActiveDrive Direct and stepper motors. Travel ranges are from 25 to 300 mm.
