Riegl USA has released its reflectorless total station surface profiling system that can be used in such industries as mining, utility, construction, navigation, military and communications for general distance and height measurement and for collecting geographical field data. Features include a long-distance capability that lets single users locate the relative position of any "line-of-sight" target. The system, which comes in a rugged, user-friendly package, can obtain topographical information within 0.2 to 0.5 s with a typical accuracy of ±12.7 in.
