The FizCam 2000 unveiled by 4D Technology Corp. is an on-axis vibration-insensitive Fizeau interferometer with a short-coherent-length source for measuring transparent samples and assemblies that are difficult or impossible to measure with traditional laser interferometers. The instrument measures parallel optical-grade surfaces and can separate and measure surfaces within an optical assembly, enabling remote cavity measurements, index homogeneity testing, thin optics measurement and environmental chamber testing. A single-camera high-speed optical phase sensor makes a wavefront measurement in 30 μs.
