The 3D Surface Inspector from Media Cybernetics Inc. is an inspection module for Image-Pro Plus image analysis software. Using a Z-stack of images, the system lets software users visualize and measure their industrial or biological images in three dimensions. The images can be rotated, and surfaces can be viewed from any angle and enhanced for better detail using texture mapping, wire frame or pseudo coloring. Images can be further enhanced by control of lighting, contrast and shadows. Measurement tools include the ability to measure the difference in Z-height between X-Y positions as well as maximum and minimum Z-values.
