The Starlase A08 is a diode-pumped acousto-optically switched Nd:YAG laser system with a PLC control interface. Released by Powerlase Ltd., it offers 800 W of average power via a modular cavity design that is based around a standard gain module configuration. It is suitable for applications requiring accurate laser pulses in high volume, including PCB production, microelectronics, electronics packaging, machine tools and, particularly, the manufacture of plasma display panels. The technology also has applications in the semiconductor industry and for the ablation of indium-tin oxide.
