Owis GmbH has announced the PS 90, a modular positioning control with up to nine axes, a USB 2.0 interface and up to two inputs for incremental encoder or linear measuring systems. It performs parallel operation of different drive systems and closed-loop operation of all. Several optional communication interfaces, including Ethernet, are available. The control includes eight inputs and outputs with TTL and SPS levels; four power outputs, for up to 24 V/1 A; and a power supply unit with an input range from 100 to 240 VAC, for a motor current of up to 7 A at 48 V. Integrated into the OwiSoft positioning software, it offers optional triggering capabilities and full-step to 1/256-step mode for two-phase step motors.
