Dymax.gifFrom Dymax Corp., the BlueWave 50 AS UV-curing spot lamp emits more than 3000 mW/cm2 of primarily UVA and blue light (300 to 450 nm). Designed for curing adhesives, coatings and encapsulants, the lamp incorporates the Cool Blue filter, which minimizes short-wave UV and IR transmission, protecting liquid-filled lightguides and producing cooler cures. The device integrates a shutter and timer that can be activated by a foot pedal or a programmable logic controller. Its solid-state power supply operates at 90 to 264 V and 47 to 63 Hz. The bulbs have 2000- to 4000-h lifetimes.
