TeraXion Inc. has produced the ClearSpectrum-DCMX fixed chromatic dispersion compensation module for high-speed metropolitan and long-haul DWDM networks. It compensates links from 20 to 200 km in a single low-loss module. Based on proprietary multichannel fiber Bragg grating technology, the compensator produces <3-dB insertion loss and can be cascaded in networks beyond 2000 km. The compact module offers full C- or L-band coverage and 100-GHz channel spacing.
