The LED-060 systems produced by Labsphere Inc. allow the user to load, light and test packaged LEDs in <5 s, with spectral results obtained in milliseconds from 350 to 1050 nm. The user snaps the LED into the socket, slides it into the integrating sphere’s receiving sleeve, turns it on and clicks the mouse to obtain total spectral flux, radiant and luminous flux, chromaticity coordinates, correlated color temperature, peak and dominant wavelengths and, for white LEDs, color-rendering index data. Intuitive software provides research-grade results, and a NIST-traceable total spectral flux standard is integrated into the base of the sphere for in-house system calibration and verification.
