Moritex USA Inc. has launched the HR series machine microlenses that are optimized for megapixel cameras with a CCD chip size of up to 2/3 in. They produce 0.3-μm resolution and high uniformity of coaxial illumination across the field of view. The telecentric lenses maintain a constant view angle to the subject by keeping the optical ray paths parallel to each other. Encased in compact, low-mass packages, they are designed to accommodate demanding machine vision and industrial inspection applications. The company says that the lenses offer low distortion, high contrast and a long working distance.
