The NCP5602 and NCP5612 charge-pump dual-output white LED drivers announced by On Semiconductor produce 87% peak efficiency and deliver consistent brightness for handheld and consumer applications. They are supplied in a 2.0 × 2.0 × 0.55-mm LLGA-12 package and achieve 0.2% LED-to-LED matching. A built-in ICON function drives a low current through one of the two LEDs so that the clock display can be seen in dark environments. This dimming mode eliminates the need for additional software programming. Other features include short-circuit and overvoltage protection.
