Minus-K_ATT87908.gifThe 1- to 2-Hz MK26 Series Vibration Control Workstation has been released by Minus K Technology Inc. in a joint venture with Kinetic Systems. Designed for ultralow natural frequency applications and negative stiffness vibration isolators, it uses a stiff spring that supports a weight load combined with a negative-stiffness mechanism to provide vertical motion isolation. Beam columns connected in series with the vertical motion isolator provide horizontal motion isolation. It achieves 93% isolation efficiency at 2 Hz, 99% at 5 Hz and 99.7% at 10 Hz. It features a vibra-damped frame, customizable accessories, ergonomic styling and a choice of tabletops. It is Class 100 cleanroom-compatible, with Class 10 available, and doesn’t require an air supply or electric power.
