Optometrics-Corp_13665.gifOptometrics Corp. has introduced a wavelength-tunable light source for detector sensitivity testing, for color matching and characterization, and for testing reflectivity and absorption of various materials. The TLS series features Windows XP-compatible software-controlled wavelength selection from 360 to 1000 nm, scanning between wavelengths, and a USB interface. The monochromator includes a 60-in. optimized fiber cable output with an SMA adapter. Bandpass output can be chosen from among 6, 10 and 25 nm for illumination of specific wavelengths. The light source has an integrated stepper motor, and manual versions also are offered.
