The Solo 2 is an upgraded version of Gentec Electro-Optics Inc.’s Solo-PE laser power and energy monitor. It features a more ergonomic shape and a 78 × 58-mm LCD screen that is twice the size of its predecessor’s. Its transfer rate is 20 times faster, and it can read high-repetition-rate energy detectors (with metal absorbers) up to 3 kHz. The meter’s thermal head power range is 100 μW to 10 kW and photodetector head, 4 pW to 3 W. Its energy range is 0.1 μJ to 20 kJ. The 210 × 122 × 44-mm device weighs 0.52 kg with its stand.
