Alacron-Inc.gifAlacron Inc. has introduced a series of frame grabbers and vision processors. The Fast-X is a PCI Express bus-based product with four Gigabit Ethernet ports and/or three basic 85-MHz Camera Link channels. An auxiliary I/O connector is provided for adaptation of other high-speed interfaces such as UXGA. Front-end data is formatted, preprocessed and processed by a field-programmable gate array and Stretch 5610. In addition, the Fast-Xe, a 4x PCIe version, features an eight-way serial ATA disk controller.
