Version 6.06 of the GammaVision-32 gamma-ray spectroscopy software has been released by Ortec Products Group, a unit of Ametek Advanced Measurement Technology. Compliant with ANSI and ASME standards, it includes the ROI-32 analysis engine, enabling users to define a region of interest for one or several energy peaks within their analysis library. Among other new features are “hot buttons” that enable users to rapidly change sample settings and an engine that simplifies spectrum analysis. A function for creating peak background correction files has been added, along with a total uncertainty algorithm, which enables users to classify how additional uncertainties are distributed. The user manual also has been enhanced.
