Aculight_Argos-Lg.jpgAculight Corp. has introduced the Argos model 2400, a single-frequency continuous-wave optical parametric oscillator (OPO) that produces multiwatt signal wavelength output from 1.4 to 2.0 μm for mid-infrared spectroscopy. It operates at room temperature with up to 3 W of continuously tunable idler output. Interchangeable prealigned wavelength-converter modules generate any wavelength in the 2.3- to 4.4-μm range. Linewidth is <1 MHz, beam quality is M2 <1.1, output is >1 W at all wavelengths, power stability is <5% rms, and the mode-hop-free tuning range is 60 GHz. The device is air-cooled.
