Five nanopositioners for linear and rotational movements have been unveiled by Owis GmbH. They are actuated by a piezo inertial drive for step sizes in the nanometer and microradian ranges, respectively. The linear stages have travel ranges of up to 7.5 mm, the goniometers provide angle adjustment ranges of up to 6.3°, and the rotary stages have an unlimited angle of rotation. The compact instruments can be combined and mounted together in multiaxis configurations. A readout system is available for all nanopositioners. The devices are suitable for industrial and R&D applications.
