The optical design is based on the AvaBench-75 symmetrical Czerny-Turner design with a 2048 x 14 pixels high UV-sensitive CCD image sensor. The sensor is used as a linear array of 2048 pixels binning the vertical 14 pixels optimizing efficiency. The spectrometer includes fiber optic entrance (standard SMA, others possible).
