Coherent Inc., Laser Group, has developed the Compass QM series of Q-switched, diode-pumped lasers. Designed for ease of integration, the lasers feature an ultracompact footprint and an air-cooled power supply. The output of the diode bars, inside the power supply, is fiber-delivered to the head to facilitate replacement. The lasers have pulse energies of up to 750 µJ, pulse lengths <10 ns and repetition rates up to 150 kHz. They are available in 355-, 532- and 1064-nm wavelengths.
