nRED Toshiba's MTSP-345 high-brightness red LED is available from Marktech Optoelectronics. Based on Toshiba's InGaAlP laser diode technology, the device is designed to provide extended operating life in applications that require high brightness under demanding environmental conditions. It uses a Bragg reflector, a highly reflective layer embedded in the LED chip, a current-blocking layer to redirect unused light and an optimized distribution lens design. Its intended use is for traffic signals, exit signs, rail signaling and outdoor signage.
