Melles Griot Optics Group has released additional Fizeau interferometric test optics to complement its line of Absolute Fizeau λ/40 transmission spheres. The Absolute Fizeau λ/50 concave and convex reference spheres will enable users to record and store reference wavefronts for subtraction from interferometric test data. The Absolute Fizeau λ/50 transmission flats will enable them to increase the accuracy of Zygo-style Fizeau surface and wavefront-testing interferometers to λ/50 without the need to store, manipulate or subtract reference wavefronts during the testing process. Absolute Fizeau λ/50 reference flats enable reference surface accuracy >λ/50 peak to valley at 633 nm in both horizontal and vertical orientations. The transmission and reference flats are produced using subaperture stitching interferometry and magnetorheological finishing.
