LOW-LIGHT DETECTION

Photonics Spectra
Dec 1998
Hamamatsu CorporationRequest Info

Hamamatsu Corp. has introduced three front-illuminated FFT CCD area image sensors for scientific applications such as fluorescence and Raman spectrometry, optical and spectrophotometric analysis and other applications requiring detection of very low levels of light. The S7010, S7011 and S7015 employ binning operation to improve signal-to-noise ratio and signal processing speed over conventional methods. They have an effective pixel size of 24 x 24 µm and are available cooled or uncooled.
