EDGE-BLACKENED OPTICS

Photonics Spectra
Jun 2007
Edmund Optics Inc.Request Info

EdmundOptics_47702.jpgEdmund Optics Inc. offers edge-blackening as a standard option for most of its Techspec VIS 0° achromatic lenses as well as for all transmissive components through its Quik Mod program. Edge-blackening is designed to increase contrast and reduce noise in imaging and electro-optical systems. According to the company, the blackened edges prevent light from exiting a mounted optic, from reflecting off metal fixturing and from being re-imaged through the optical assembly.
