A3PICs_Abbildung_vers3-(1).jpgA3PICs has launched the ARX30125 monolithically integrated optical receiver with a 300-μm-diameter photodiode, a transimpedance amplifier and a limiting amplifier on the same silicon chip. The device offers a 1.25-Gb/s data rate, –24-dBm typical sensitivity at 650 nm, 3.3-V operating voltage and 150-kΩ overall transimpedance. It features integrated background light cancellation, power-saving and monitoring features, and a standard output interface. It is suitable for applications in which electromagnetic noise distorts the photodiode signal between separate detector and amplifier components. An evaluation board is available.
