The MF2 from Horiba Jobin Yvon Inc. fully characterizes samples via multifrequency fluorometry. Instead of stepping through a sequence of frequencies to isolate a substance’s lifetime behavior, the fluorometer simultaneously applies all frequencies so that information is extracted instantly. The sample can be excited with LEDs or with laser diodes from the UV to the NIR. The device has an emission range of 200 to 850 nm and offers resolution of ±10 ps for lifetimes of <1 ns.
