Apollo.jpgApollo Display Technologies LLC has introduced the DV-Slim, an ultraslim digital visual interface (DVI) translator board that connects thin-film-transistor LCDs to standard video interfaces. It converts DVI signals into transistor-transistor logic or into LVDS and can be user-configured for 5- to 46-in.-diagonal LCDs with 6- and 8-bit color depth and single-channel LVDS support. The 5.5-mm-high controller is RoHS-compliant and operates from 0 to 70 °C. Board outline dimensions are ∼3.1 × 3.9 × 0.3 in. Via function-select switches on the board, the user can configure the device for most standard backlight inverter/LCD module combinations from VGA to WXGA resolution.
