The 1200- and 1600-W JOLD-x-Q-8A passively cooled quasi-CW diode laser stacks from Jenoptik Laserdiode GmbH operate at 150 A for duty cycles up to 4% and at 195 A for duty cycles up to 2%, respectively. Passively cooled with an expected lifetime of more than 1 gigashot, the devices operate at a center wavelength of 808 nm and a spectral bandwidth from 3 to 6 nm. Applications include pumping solid-state and fiber lasers, illumination and medical applications.
