KMLabs_Wyvern.jpgThe Wyvern, a single-box regeneratively amplified laser system, has been introduced by Kapteyn-Murnane Laboratories Inc. It employs patented downchirped pulse amplification and produces 20 μJ at 100 kHz and 6 μJ at 200 kHz, with a repetition rate of 50 to 200 kHz. Pulse duration is <50 fs, M2 beam quality is <1.3, polarization purity is >100:1, and beam diameter is ∼3 mm. Power instability is <1% rms. The laser is suitable for nonlinear optics applications, including optoelectronic pulse amplifiers.
