DocterOptics_Autotessar_Gru.jpgDocter Optics GmbH has introduced the Auto-Tessar high-dynamic-range miniature lenses for use in automotive front-view and night-vision systems. The 2.3/9.6 lenses weigh 2.5 g and measure 9 mm long, and they are designed for use with dynamic CMOS sensor chips that have image fields of up to 0.5 in. The 2.3/17 lenses offer relative illumination of >90%, veiling glare of <1% and a long focal length. Intended for use with high-resolution sensor chips with an image area of up to 0.5 in., they produce reflex-free images, even under unfavorable lighting conditions such as those caused by glare from oncoming traffic.
