Allied-Vision-Technologies.jpgAllied Vision Technologies GmbH has upgraded its IEEE-1394b Pike camera family with functions that improve picture quality, optimize speed and facilitate integration of the camera into the image-processing system during the development phase. The antismear function helps create a better basis for error-free image analysis, and the 4× and 8× binning modes increase sensitivity and improve signal-to-noise ratios. The integrated packed-12-bit mode increases the transmission rate by up to 33%. The sequence mode stores more than 30 sets of parameters on a list saved inside the camera memory, and, via the trigger, the camera works off the list during automated inspection, eliminating the need for reparameterization.
